PS2HTML
PS2HTML software developed at Florence Research Area
and Electromagnetic Research Institute of National Research Council
in Florence by Alessandro Agostini, Stefano Cerreti
and Daniele Andreuccetti is intended to convert output files
produced by WINDOWS 3.1 postscript printers drives to HTML
format for easy get into an HTTP file system.
So with this program can be very easy and fast get documents
written with any word processor running under windows 3.1 and
put them in an HTTP system.
Note that this program is not capable to get for input any
postscript file but only those that are in PS 3.0 and EPS 2.0
like those produced by windows 3.1 when you have installed
an HP laserjet IIP Postscript printer or similar.
This program in capable of get into the html file
body link to small images to display inline and to
big images to display offline with external image viewers.
When it encounters an image and is in the interactive mode,
it ask you the filename of the small picture, the
filename of the big picture and a comment.
The program try to extract the images from the postscript file
body.
Whane it is in tne inline mode the program automatically name
the images.
The program is also capable of remap fonts used in the
original document to the six fonts used in HTML language
and tries to reproduce the vertical spaces between lines.
